Glossary · PSX term

KSE-30 Index.

The KSE-30 tracks the 30 largest and most liquid PSX companies using a free-float methodology.

Definition

The KSE-30 is a narrower, large-cap benchmark than the KSE-100 and is rebalanced periodically. Because it holds only 30 names, it can be more concentrated and more sensitive to a handful of heavyweight stocks.

Worked example

If banks and fertilisers dominate the KSE-30, a strong day for HBL and ENGRO can move the index noticeably.
