Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

A REIT is a listed vehicle that owns or develops real estate and passes income to unit holders.

Definition

REITs let investors gain property exposure without buying buildings directly, and they typically distribute most rental or development income as payouts. In Pakistan, REITs are regulated by the SECP and trade on the PSX.

Worked example

Buying units of a rental REIT gives you a share of the rent from its property portfolio.

Risk tolerance is how much loss and volatility you can handle financially and emotionally.
