GDP growth.

GDP growth is the rate at which a country's total economic output expands over time.

Definition

Stronger GDP growth generally supports company earnings and can lift the stock market, while a slowdown does the opposite. In Pakistan, growth is shaped by agriculture, industry, energy, and external conditions.

Worked example

If Pakistan's GDP grows 4% in a year, businesses broadly enjoy stronger demand than in a flat year.
