Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM).

An EOGM is a shareholder meeting called outside the normal AGM cycle to decide an urgent matter.

Definition

Companies convene an EOGM for special decisions such as mergers, large issuances, or changes to the constitution that cannot wait for the AGM. Like an AGM, eligible shareholders vote on the proposed resolutions.

Worked example

A company might call an EOGM to seek shareholder approval for a major right issue or acquisition.
